About Hand out point

You need warm clothes to rub through the Russian winter, good shave, a dress shirt and tie to get for a job interview. That’s why we have a Hand out point at Nochlezhka where anyone in need can get clothes, shoes, personal hygiene items, metro tokens, basic button cell phones.

We hand out those essentials at Bumazhny proezd 2/2, building 6. On Mondays 10am - 12am and on Wednesdays 14pm - 16pm volunteers on a regular turn give care items to needy. What’s important for the project took place in 2021 In 2021 we launched a Hand out point at Counselling service office in Moscow.

Now people who come for social workers and legal help in Moscow can get clothes and personal hygiene items at Bumazhny proezd 2/2, building 6. Before that those essentials were available only for the visitors at the stops of our Night bus. Volunteers took down these people’s requests by hand and then delivered the required items with the next Night bus route. Currently such kind of help can be obtained by those who visit Nochlezhka’s Counselling service office in Moscow. Project partners: Charity foundation “Vtoroe dykhaniye” It’s a big work to organize a proper hand out procedure and that’s what our volunteers take on.

They sort and hang clothes by type and size, lay out hygiene items and other items donated to Nochlezhka by the citizens. They also place records in the Nochlezhka’s database on when and what item was received by a particular person - we keep such records in order to fairly distribute free things between people in need.

We are grateful to all volunteers who come out every day! Due to the well-coordinated work of our team of assistants, homeless people get the essentials they need, and the employees of the Nochlezhka’s Counselling service office have more time and chances to help those in need to solve their complex social and legal issues. We would like to thank the Charity foundation “Vtoroe dykhaniye", which regularly donates Nochlezhka clothes and shoes that our visitors need.
