On November 2nd, Nochlezhka will hold the second annual NochlezhkaFest, a charitable musical festival in support of the homeless. Performers will include Boris Grebenshikov, Jenia Lubich, and the bands Zorge and Nogu Svelo!.
The musicians are long-time friends and supporters of Nochlezhka, Russia's oldest public organization in support of the homeless. All proceeds from the sale of the tickets will go to the Nochlezhka shelter, the largest homeless shelter in the city. With assistance of Nochlezhka’s lawyers and social workers, the shelter's residents resolve their problems and most of them return to a normal life. In 2012 alone, the shelter housed 221 people.
None of the proceeds from your ticket purchase go to the musicians or to the club, but go to help to cover expenses of Nochlezhka's Borovaya street shelter.
A normal-entry ticket for 800 Rub = 3 days of shelter for a homeless person;
A VIP ticket for 1400 Rub = 6 days of shelter for a homeless person;
A VIP ticket for 1800 Rub = 7 days of shelter for a homeless person;
A VIP ticket for 2200 Rub = 9 days of shelter for a homeless person;
“Thanks to the help of the musicians and the club, we can offer shelter to several dozen people, who will get an opportunity to return to a normal life. This festival will allow us to once again draw public attention to the problem of homelessness” - Grigory Sverdlin, director of Nochlezhka.
The first NochlezhkaFest took place last year and raised over 650 thousand rubles. Those funds were enough to run the shelter for two months.
This year NochlezhkaFest is partnering with “Institute Strojproect” JSC, “Storck” Ltd., the “Spasibo” charity shop, “LAT” Ltd., the “Friends” hostel chain, and the advertising agency “Great”.
