Homeless Santa Clauses wish citizens a Happy New Year

Nochlezhka released a New Year's video in which homeless people dressed in Santa Claus costumes wish citizens a Happy New Year on the festive streets of St. Petersburg. And then they return to the Heating Point of the charitable organization, where they take shelter through cold winter nights.

The video was created pro bono by Decembrist creative agency. The project was supported by the singer Zhenya Lubich, whose song “Belle” sounds in the video, and New Holland, on the skating rink of which part of the filming took place.

“With the help of this video, we want to draw people's attention to those who have nowhere and no one to celebrate this holiday, to those who, despite all the difficulties of life, find the strength to live and the desire to give others joy and New Year's mood. You should have seen how the faces of our actors transformed when people approached them with a request for a photo or gave a high-five. During the life on the street homeless get used to the fact that people try to pretend that they do not exist, that they are not noticed, as if they are ghosts. These people need our help because they want to return to normal life, become part of society again and to be valued again.”, says Anton Mokhov, creative director of Decembrist agency.

“Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to get out of the street on your own - homeless people face an infinite number of difficulties and circumstances that are stronger than them. We need your support in order to continue helping homeless people with Nochlezhka’s specialists.“, says Grigory Sverdlin, Nochlezhka charitable organization chairman.
