Reason we do it
”Entrance from the street” is an internship employment restaurant for former homeless people. Nochlezhka's clients, who have completed resocialization projects, undergo internships at the restaurant. All earnings go to provide work of our shelters.
The restaurant helps Nochlezhka's trainee clients learn new professions. So people who get out of the street get all the necessary experience to get a job.
We renovated the premises and made it warm and cozy; looked at best restaurateurs of the city; recruited an excellent team and have already included interns from among our clients.
How does it work
”Entrance from the street” became the first establishment in Russia with a system of internship employment for former homeless people. Cafes and restaurants with a similar concept operate in Europe.
Nochlezhka's clients receive temporary internships with a scholarship of about 20,000 rubles a month. The duration of an internship is 3-4 months. Interns try their hand at one of new professions: a cook, a waiter or a bartender.
Upon work completion at Nochlezhka’s restaurant, interns receive recommendations for further employment in other catering establishments.
Every year, 15-20 people will be able to have an internship at “Entrance from the street”. The restaurant staff are industry professionals and trainees are Nochlezhka's clients.
”Entrance from the street” is an urban restaurant with a menu of natural and simple dishes, where guests are offered breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes bowls, soups, pastas, hot dishes and snacks, desserts, vegetarian dishes.
